Awwal 13, 1432, Feb 16, 2011, SPA -- An official of Algerian Public Works Ministry, Abdel-Samad Mouloud disclosed here today that the government allocated an amount of 40 billion Dinars to fund 30 projects in preparing and expanding airports' gigantic development matching with the standards of airports in the developed countries. In a statement issued here this morning, the official said these construction works are meant for expansions and development of the airports in response to increasing demand and rising passenger numbers from year to year and modernization of various facilities and the introduction of modern technology in the field of management and maintenance of airports. These also include completion of the initialization works in more than 20 repositories of helicopters in ten airports. It is noteworthy that Algeria has 55 airports including 37 airports open to civil aviation and 12 of them serving international airlines.
