Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Manuchehr MOTAKI, ended a two-day official visit to Algeria. The visit of Motaki was in response to an invitation extended to him by Algerian Foreign Minister Mohammed BEDJAOUI. During the visit, Motaki also met with Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem. In a departure statement, Motaki reiterated the importance of his visit to Algeria and said it came in the framework of enhancing cooperation between the two countries. Motaki also opened Saturday evening an exhibition hall, which is displaying Iranian products. Iran is observing closely the economic and social development in Algeria since Bouteflika took office in 1999, the Iranian Foreign Minister added. Motaki expressed Iran's willingness to contribute in the Algerian five-Year plan 2005-2009, under which the Algerian president allocated a sum of over $150 billion.
