Following heavy rains on the Province of Jeddah, leading to the harms and damage inflicted by the people and facilities of the city of Jeddah and its surroundings respectively today, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud directed all the concerned authorities to urgently provide all enhancements to reduce the damage of rains in Jeddah Province and its surroundings, a royal order said. Due to heavy rains on the Province of Jeddah and its surroundings, leading to massive harms on a number of people and facilities and subjecting many parts of the Province of Jeddah to the danger of drowning, all concerned governmental authorities are instructed to promptly and without any delay to start providing every possible facility and enhancement to reduce those losses, particularly that rain is expected to continue in the coming days, the order reads. It said that the monarch also instructed the Governor of Makkah Region, to whcih Jeddah Province is affiliated, to report to him on any deficiency or negligence as well as a thorough report on the situation. The Minister of Finance was also instructed to provide the necessary cash to provide all capabilities and enhancements immediately. The order added that all concerned authorities were instructed to work day and night to end this matter. "Whoever proved to be negligent or careless would face serious punishment.
