Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet Session

Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today.
At the outset of the session, the Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the contacts the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received from King Mohammed VI of Morocco and President Barack Obama of the United States as well as the call telephone call the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques made to President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Cabinet discussed the effects of floods and rains that hit Jeddah and its surrounding areas last Wednesday. The Cabinet also discussed the damage inflicted on the people and facilities as well as the role of different concerned sectors and the volunteers in order to relieve the affected citizens and residents as a result of these floods. In this regard, the Cabinet hailed the order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to provide urgent support to reduce those losses and to report to him on any deficiency or negligence, to start providing every possible facility and enhancement immediately. In this regard, the Cabinet listened to a number of reports on the progress of work in accordance with the King's directives.
The Cabinet listened to an explanation from Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the outcomes of the urgent meeting which was held in Riyadh to implement the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and of the Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on Sunday under the chairmanship of Prince Naif and the attendance of Governor of Makkah Province and the concerned ministers to address the situation comprehensively as well as what will be done at the next meeting to be held on Tuesday in Jeddah.
The Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed the need to implement and carry out the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as soon as possible and to define the causes of this serious matter and to solve it effectively and drastically.
