Speaker of Yemen's Parliament Yahya Ali, left here today for the United Arab Emirates at the head of a parliamentary delegation to participate in the 13th session of the work of the Second Extraordinary Congress of the Federation of Parliaments of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). In a statement, prior to his departure, Ali said that the conference will review topics on the session's agenda led by regional and international challenges facing the advancement and security of the Islamic world under the new conditions of the peace process and the preservation of Al-Quds (Jerusalem); the peaceful uses of nuclear energy in the countries of the Muslim world; dialogue and cooperation with the parliaments of the Western countries, particularly the U.S. Congress in light of the positions of the Administration of the U.S. President as regards cooperation with the Islamic world.
