Three earthquakes measuring 5.0 to 5.9 on the Richter Scale jolted Aceh minutes after one another on Saturday, ANTARA reported. The first quake measuring 5.9 on the Richter Scale struck at 6.23pm West Indonesia Time, according to the Meteorology, Geophysics and Climatology Agency (BMKG) here on Saturday. The epicenter of the first quake is 32 kilometer deep in the sea bed, 19 kilometers southwest of Sinabang. The second one measuring 5.2 hit at 6.45 WIT with its epicenter 15 kilometer deep in the sea bed 14 kilometers south of Sinabang. The third tremor measured 5.0 on the Richter Scale. It hit at 6.45 WIT with its epicenter 15 kilometers deep in the sea bed, 14 kilometer south of Sinabang. According to the agency the three quakes had no potential to cause a tsunami. Earlier the agency also recorded a quake measuring 4.8 on the Richter Scale 85 kilometer southeast of Ende, East Nusa Tenggara. The quake in Ende struck at 5.58pm WIT with its epicenter 10 kilometers in the sea and had no potential to cause a tsunami.
