The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, denounced the incidents of bombings that occurred on December 31, 2010, in a military barracks in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. In a statement, Professor Ihsanoglu condemned the attack, which caused deaths of tens of innocent people and injuries to dozens. He called on the authorities to identify the perpetrators of this criminal terrorist act and bring them to trial. He also expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the Government of Nigeria and its people, wishing the injured ones a speedy recovery.
