Lebanese President Michael Soliman yesterday received Chairman and members of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) on the occasion of its 38th General Assembly Meeting here in Beirut. The meeting begun Saturday morning in Beirut under the chairmanship of FANA's Chairman, Editor-in-Chief of the Middle East News Agency (MENA) Abdullah Hassan and FANA's Deputy Chairman, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Board Chairman and its Director General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah and FANA's Secretary General Dr. Farid Ayyar. Arab News Agencies' heads from United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait in addition to Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt, Sudan and Palestine besides Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon are also participating in the meeting, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM" The General-Assembly will discuss the agenda which includes items related to training courses, workshops, FANA's meetings with regional and international news agencies in addition to the prospective vision of FANA.
