Qa'dah 20, 1431 H/Oct 28, 2010, SPA --In the presence of the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari, King Saud University (KSU) signed yesterday in South Korea, a joint research cooperation agreement with Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). The agreement included three major projects which aim at transferring and settling technology at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The first project is on desalinating water through the solar-marine heat exchange and the second project aims at developing the management of energy service for residential and commercial clients by using the smart meters and the information network of sensors. The third project aims to produce the lactic acid from Saudi dates by using biotechnology.
