Hussein, offered an official invitation to host the VI News Agencies World Congress in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2013. He expressed the pleasure of SPA to have all world news agencies at the VI News Agencies World Congress in Saudi Arabia to continue discussions of the topics on the agenda, review the best ways for developing news agencies, improve their means of work, stretch the cooperation bridges, exchange experiences and share knowledge in a way that services the human issues. Citing the stiff competition that threaten the world news agencies' professional advancement due to the increasing usage by the internet of the mass-circulation newspapers, the challenge that obstruct the march of these news agencies, including the difficulty of protecting their intellectual rights and facing intellectual piracy, in addition to the necessity of updating and improving their performance continuously, the Director General of SPA said that the above-mentioned reasons and circumstances necessitate that "we have to cooperate to project and encourage the common interests of us, effectuate our national systems in this regard, search for the best way to stimulate our professional capacities, equip our organizations with the state-of-the-art of communication technologies to face the major challenges expected to derail our march in the few years ahead. Following that, the Vice President of Telam Sergio Fernandez Novoa lauded SPA Director General's speech, citing his concepts on piracy combat and importance of intellectual rights. He expressed the acceptance of the conferees to travel to Saudi Arabia in 2013 to attend the fourth conference in response to SPA's official invitation. For his part, Al-Hussein expressed thanks to the conference's president for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to the Saudi delegation and to the participants for accepting the Kingdom's bid to host the next conference and their promise to make it a success.
