The UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan has signed an agreement on combating crime with the Chinese Public Security Minister Meng Jianzhu. Under the agreement, the two countries will fight crime as per the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Chinese laws and their international commitments to prevent and fight violent crimes against individuals, properties, terrorist acts, corruption, organised crimes and others in the framework of agreement. The two countries also agreed to exchange information and laws on fighting and preventing crimes, techniques in fighting cyber crimes, civil defence, fighting fires, legal framework for police, training, police education, the border management, activities, scientific research and expansion of cooperation between the Interpol offices in the two countries, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM." Earlier, Sheikh Saif received in his office the Chinese official and the delegation accompanying him. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of topics of common interest between the two friendly countries. Sheikh Saif stressed depth of relations between the two countries and keenness of the leadership in both countries to bolster cooperation.
