President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) , Dr. Ahmad Mohammad Ali attended the 26th Session of the OIC Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC), which concluded yesterday its four-day deliberations in Istanbul. The meeting was graced by Abdullah Gul the President of the Republic of Turkey, according to a press release of the Bank issued in Jeddah. The high profile gathering, which also attracted the presence of economy and finance ministers of member states of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), primarily focused on consolidating economic and commercial bonds amongst OIC member countries and discussing a number of topics on socio-economic development as well as economic relations and cooperation amongst COMCEC members particularly in the field of agriculture and rural development. --MORE
