OIC prepares COMCEC's Global Financial Crisis meeting in Istanbul

Preparations are complete for the 24th session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC), starting in Istanbul, Turkey, later today.
During the meeting, members of the Organization of Islamic Conference will discuss the causes of the deepening global financial crisis, according to a press release of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) issued here yesterday.
The meeting is scheduled to be opened by Turkish President Abdullah Gul, who is also the Head of COMCEC. Ministers of trade of OIC member countries along with IDB President Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali will attend the meeting.
