Qa'dah 11, 1431, Oct 19, 2010 -- The Saudi Export Development Center, an affiliate of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, has clinched the Islamic Solidarity Prize of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for the year 1431 H ( 2010 ). , reflecting the Bank's appreciation of the role played by the Center since its inception in 1980 that encourages the Saudi exporters to access the international markets. This also demonstrates IDB's adoration of the Center's efforts to introduce Saudi businessmen to potential partners and investors and providing them with the necessary information. The Bank's recognition also covers the Centre's role in the field of research, studies, information services and export finance guarantee that reflected positively on the promotion of trade among the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), according to a latest press release of the IDB. The IDB awarded the Prize to the Center during a recently concluded 26th meeting of COMCEC (Standing Committee For Commercial and Economic Cooperation) of the OIC in Istanbul, Turkey, which was also attended by Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
