Presided over by its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Majlis Al-Shura held its 43rd ordinary session here today. At the outset of the session, the Speaker delivered a speech in which he congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; the royal family; the Saudi people; and Arab and Islamic nations on Eid Al-Fitr. He also highlighted the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which falls on Thursday September 23. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Secretary General of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said that Majlis Al-Shura approved a report by the Committee of Economic and Energy Affairs on a draft Protocol for cooperation in oil, gas and metal sectors between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic Vietnam.
