The Prime Minister of Republic of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh paid here today a visit to Majlis Al-Shura within the framework of his current visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Upon arrival, he was received by Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Majlis' Deputy Speaker Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hamzah Hajjar; Assistant Speaker Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Barrak; Secretary-General of Majlis Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi; Majlis' Member and Chairman of Saudi-Indian Parliamentary Friendship Committee Dr. Rashed Bin Hamad Al-Kathiri. Dr. Singh and Dr. Al Al-Sheikh held a meeting and discussed issues of common concern, ways of enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in parliamentary area. The Indian Prime Minister expressed his best wishes of steady progress for Majlis Al-Shura for the achievement of development and prosperity for Saudi citizens under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier. After the meeting, the Majlis Speaker and Dr. Singh went to Majlis Hall to deliver speeches. --MORE
