UN middle east envoy Robert Serry reviewed today here with Jordanian foreign minister Nasser Judeh the latest developments pertaining to peace efforts in the middle east, notably the direct Palestinian-Israeli direct negotiations. In a press statement Judeh reiterated his country's support to the regional and international efforts that aim at realizing peace and stability in the region on the base of two-states and international references agreed on as well as the Arab peace initiative in a manner that leads to the establishment of the independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital. On the other hand, Serry confirmed the support of the UN to the ongoing efforts for the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli dispute on the base of two states within the framework of a comprehensive solution.
