A flood reaching a height of up to 1.5 meters submerged more than ten houses in Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday, according to ANTARA. "The water rose significantly at around 4 am local time when heavy rain was falling in the area. Six houses in the Banjar area were inundated by 1.5-meter-deep flood waters," Made Herdiasah, head of Jurang Asri village, Peguyangan Kangin, North Denpasar sub district, Denpasar City, Bali Province, Tuesday. The flood victims have been evacuated to higher ground, and there were no report of casualties, he said. "At the moment, the flood has subsided to a depth of around 50 cm only, and Denpasar disaster mitigation officers are pumping out the floodwaters from the affected houses," he added.
