Hussein of Jordan held a summit meeting during which they tackled the mechanisms of activating the relations of cooperation between the two sisterly countries in different fields in addition to the current situations in the Middle East and efforts to bring about peace and stability to the region. The King of Saudi Arabia and the King of Jordan expressed, in a meeting that gathered senior officials of the two sides at Basman Royal Palace, followed by a bilateral one, their gratitude of the historical fraternal ties binding their two countries and their joint keenness to further strengthen and augment bilateral cooperation in different fields in a way that serves the two countries and their sisterly peoples. King Abdullah II of Jordan expressed appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his supportive stances and assistance for Jordan, citing a number of developmental and vital programs for Jordan. The two leaders confirmed the importance of continuing their coordination and consultation to enhance joint Arab Action in the face of different challenges, particularly in this critical stage of the history of the region. King Abdullah II of Jordan lauded the efforts being exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in enhancing Arab solidarity and bringing about an Arab united position in the service of the Arab causes and interests. During the meeting, which comes within consultations and coordination of the two countries toward all issues of mutual concern, the two leaders discussed the efforts being exerted to reach a two-state solution for the Palestinian Israeli conflict within a comprehensive regional solution that guarantees the repatriation of all Arab usurped rights, particularly the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state on their national territory. The two leaders underscored the importance of intensifying the international community efforts to make tangible progress at the peace process, to reach the two-state solution which constitutes the sole way to achieve security and stability in the region. --More
