Pakistan and China on Friday signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for cooperation in health sector, particularly for the production of vaccines to check Polio and Hepatitis. Minister for Health Makhdoom Shahabuddin signed the MoUs from the Pakistan side at a ceremony, which was also witnessed by the visiting President Asif Ali Zardari. Under an MoU for health cooperation, Pakistan's National Institute of Health (NIH) in cooperation with the Chinese public sector health institution will initiate the programme of Polio and Hepatitis vaccine production. Whereas another MoU was signed between Pakistan Nursing Council and Wei Ming Medical University Shangdu, under which every year 50 Pakistani nursing students will be sent to China for four years English language programme, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
