The World Health Organization (W.H.O) would provide all possible assistance to Pakistan for complete eradication of polio, said visiting WHO Director General Dr Margaret Chan. Addressing news conference Tuesday along with Pakistan Health Minister Naseer Khan in Islamabad, WHO official said Pakistan has made tremendous progress in health sector over last eight years. Dr. Chan said polio vaccination is completely safe. There is need to mobilize religious and other community leaders to enlist support of entire society for immunization, the Pakistan Press International (PPI) reported. Naseer Khan said government made additional financial allocation for eradication of polio. "So far only seven cases of polio have been reported in the country."
