Pakistan and Iran has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Tehran to boost the bilateral cooperation in the environmental sector, according to an official statement. The MoU focuses on tourism, air pollution, waste managements, marine pollution and bio-diversity apart from joint studies, seminars, training and exchange of information on energy efficiency. The decision was made during a meeting between Minister for Environment Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, currently on a visit to Tehran, and Iranian Vice President and Head of the Environment department, Dr Fatemeh Vaez Javadi.
