Twelve Islamic humanitarian agencies from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey, UAE, Libya and Sudan will hold an important session today to discuss provision of humanitarian aids for the affected persons in Kyrgyzstan as a result of events of the past few days. The meeting to be held under the auspices of the Organization of the Islamic Organization (OIC) in Istanbul will discuss an urgent humanitarian assistance plan for refugees and displaced people of conflicts zones. OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has called on member states to provide urgent assistance for thousands of displaced persons in the light of bloody clashes that took place in the country.
