Presided over by its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Shoura Council today discussed a bill calling for a new system for Saudi males marriage with non-Saudi brides and that of Saudi females with non-Saudis. Following the meeting, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, the Secretary General of the Shoura Council, said the meeting unanimously agreed to form an ad hoc committee to reconsider the issue from its legal Islamic, social, economic and security aspects. The committee is expected to issue its report on the 12-article bill soon, he added. On the other hand, the Council completed discussion on the additional recommendations submitted by the members of the Council on the annual report of the General Presidency for Youth Welfare for the fiscal year 1428-1429 H. Neither recommendation has won the required majority, the Secretary General said.
