Saudi Customs collected SR 13.2 billion last year, and maritime customs revenues recorded 77% of the total revenues. It indicated that total imports into the Kingdom amounted to SR 358.4 billion in 2009, a decrease of 17% in comparison with 2008 and non-oil exports amounted to SR 88 billion. It said that the number of vehicles and trucks entering and leaving the Kingdom was 16 million last year, an increase of 1.8% in comparison with the previous year. The report said that the number of passengers entering the Kingdom was 29.395 million and those leaving 28.637 million. It noted that passengers on in-coming flights disclosed more than SR 37.5 billion of money and precious metals . On the seizure of products in the past year, Saudi Customs seized more than 57.9 million units, up 9.5% from 2008, including a list of prohibited drugs and pills, alcohol and weapons. The Director of Saudi Customs Saleh Al-Khelawi commended the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier for supporting Saudi Customs.
