The revenues of Saudi Customs amounted to SR 15.1 billion in the year 2010, an increase of 14.25% in comparison with 2009. Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported today an annual report issued by Saudi Customs disclosed that more than 16,400 smuggling cases were seized last year, in addition to the seizure of 15.7 million fake or counterfeit items, an increase of 149% compared to 2009. The report showed that the number of passengers arrived in the Kingdom last year exceeded 32 million and those who departed was 31.5 million passengers. It said that 16.7 million cars and trucks arrived and departed from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last year, up 2.2% compared to 2009.
