Five people have been confirmed dead in a massive pileup involving seven vehicles in central China's Hubei Province Saturday, local traffic police said. The accident occurred at about 8 p.m. on a downward slope of a highway in Changyang Tujia Autonomous County in Yichang City. It involved two buses, three trucks and two passenger cars, Xinhua reported. The five dead were from two trucks, one bus and the two cars. The injured have been sent to hospital, but the number was not immediately known. The pileup disrupted traffic and police have ordered a detour. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
