Five people were killed and 16 were injured after a bus fell off a cliff in central China's Hubei Province Friday afternoon, local authorities said. The 29-seat bus was carrying 21 people on the No. 325 provincial highway in Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Yichang City when it turned over at about 6 p.m.. It fell off a steep cliff of at least 20 meters onto a patch of cropland, instantly killing five people, Xinhua quoted a statement from the county government as saying. The injured people had been sent to hospital. A doctor and a nurse were assigned for each injured people, it added. Further investigation is underway.
