A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck on Friday at 21.42 pm local time with its epicenter 126 kilometers southeast of Wonosari, Yogyakarta special district. "The quake was located 8.93 degrees southern latitude and 111.20 degrees eastern longitude at a depth of 32 kilometers, but did not have a potential to trigger a tsunami," ANTARA quoted the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) as saying. The quake's epicenter lied 127 kilometers southeast of Wonosari, Yogyakarta; 142 kilometers southwest of Blitar, East Java; 148 kilometers southeast of Bantul, Yogyakarta; and 574 kilometers southeast of Jakarta.
