The Second Scientific Forum on the Humanitarian International Law and Humanitarian Security, co-organized by the General Directorate for Domestic Security Forces of Lebanon in collaboration with the Riyadh-based Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) and Rafiq Al-Hariri International Airport Security Training Center, concluded here today under the theme "International Standards for Airports Security and their Applications in the Arab Countries". The closing ceremony of the three-day event was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali bin Saeed Awwadh Al-Asiri, representatives of the participating countries and senior political and security figures. Addressing the gathering at the outset of the ceremony, Professor Izzedin Omer Musa, Dean of Strategic Sciences College of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, expressed thanks to the host country's President, government and people for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. He pointed that Arab security work, which is patronized by the Arab Interior Ministers Council, under the chairmanship of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, and NAUSS is a productive effort, underscoring the importance of the humanitarian security department, an affiliate of the Riyadh-based university as security of humans is an integral part of the state security. Then the participants confirmed that the concepts of humanitarian international law, the human rights and human security are common humanitarian values crystallized by all religions and philosophers. --More
