Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud, the Minister of Education, announced doubling the Award of Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States from SR 100,000 to 200,000 effective from the next season. In a press statement here last night following patronizing the handing-over ceremony of the 6th Award to 8 researchers who shared the Award in its four categories, with SR 25,000 for each field, the Prince said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz considers knowledge as a basis and a goal and supports and encourages research. He noted that it is important the communication between parents and schools and the Ministry of Education. "We have started electronic linkage of financial and administrative affairs, and the next phase will be linking schools so that parents can know about the levels of their children at schools via the Internet."
