Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) has met here with French Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Bertrand Besancenot and a delegation from the Trustees of Louvre Museum in France. During the meeting, they discussed preparations for Exhibition of Masterpieces of Antiquities of Saudi Arabia in Louvre Museum, scheduled to open on July 12, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Prince Sultan bin Salman said that the exhibition aims to display historical and civilization features of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its antiquities and great heritage of culture that has contributed to human history, as well as its position in human communication today under the Saudi leadership, noting that the two-month exhibition will be held at a peak time when Louvre Museum attracts millions of visitors from various countries. The Prince noted that Louvre Museum will be the beginning of exhibitions to be held by the Commission on Saudi antiquities in a number of prominent museums in the world. On his part, the French Ambassador expressed his appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for selecting France and Louvre Museum to hold the first exhibition of Saudi antiquities, pointing out that this exhibition will be one of the important events that will attract French official, popular and media attention due to the Kingdom's position and its historical heritage.
