Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, has affirmed that the exhibition “Archeological Masterpieces of Saudi Arabia Through the Ages” sends the world an important message about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its cultural potential and its history of hosting a number of civilizations and political and economic centers.
The exhibition also reflects the important role played now by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, which qualified it to play an important role at international political and economic arena.
This has come in a statement from Prince Sultan Bin Salman during the opening ceremony of the exhibition on Tuesday at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Foreign Minister and his French counterpart Bernard Kouchner.
Prince Sultan Bin Salman said: “The exhibition presents the Kingdom in a different perspective compatible with the global passion that is eager to know about the historic and cultural component of the Kingdom, which enjoys an important international presence in addition to its important economic role. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is well-known in this respect as international maker of humanitarian and cultural initiatives.”
Prince Sultan Bin Salman also said the exhibition is a gift from the Kingdom to the world's people, particularly those who are concerned with culture, because the relics narrate the Kingdom's history and its impact across the world since the emergence of Islam, which is a real source of pride, and its birth place of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in addition to the backdrop of pre-Islamic civilizations, which highlight the importance of Islamic message.
