An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale hit Bengkulu province here on Sunday at 12.59 West Indonesia Time (WIB). The temblor had its epicenter at 5.61 southern latitude and 101.58 eastern longitude 215 kilometers southwest of Bengkulu at a depth of 13 kilometers, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said. The earthquake had no potential to trigger a tsunami, ANTARA reported.
