The Fourth Gulf e-Commerce Forum (GeF) will be held in Bahrain under the theme Information Superhighway later this year. It is being organised by the Gulf Forum for e-Commerce and will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre on November 29 and 30. The event is being held under the patronage of Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro, according to a report published today by the Manama-based Gulf Daily News. "The objective of the forum is to provide a communication channel between businessmen in the Gulf by discussing various research papers," said GeF secretary-general and steering committee chairman Dr Hussain Al Mahdi. "Information Superhighway affects all of the community because it creates many chances and faces a lot of challenges." "Opportunities and challenges could be similar from one country to another, but the ways of benefiting from them or creating them could differ from one place to another according to circumstances of every community."
