The eighth scientific forum for the society of history and archeology in the GCC member states will be opened in Manama tomorrow under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah al-Khalifa, the head of the supreme council of the Islamic affairs in Bahrain. At the forum's inaugural session, Dr Fahd bin Abdullah al-Samari, the secretary general of Riyadh-based King Abdulaziz Foundation for research and archives, will be honored in recognition of his efforts in supporting the society. Meanwhile, the general assembly for the society of history and archeology in the GCC Member states will be held on the fringes of the forum.
