Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia at the United Nations in Geneva Dr. Adbulwahab Attar stressed that the kingdom carefully viewed the report by the Human Rights High Commissioner on the grave violations of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories in implementation of the two resolutions adopted by the Human Rights Council at the 9th and 12th special sessions. In a statement he delivered before the human rights council during the special session to discuss the human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, Dr. Attar expressed appreciation for the efforts exerted in preparing the report and the information in contained asserting the occurrence of grave violations of human rights in the occupied Arab territories by the occupation force and expressed concern for the delay in issuing the report which was issued only late last week. Dr. Attar called for the implementation of relevant international resolutions including the two resolutions adopted by the Human Rights Council at the 9th and 12th special sessions and the implementation of the recommendations contained in Goldstone report on the aggression on Gaza including lifting the siege on Gaza strip, the opening of all crossings and investigation of the occupation forces' use of internationally banned weapons in their attack on Gaza. Dr. Attar also called for alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people and ending the grave violations there especially in the city of Alquds.
