Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the talks held by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince praised the relations between the two brotherly countries and their keenness to enhance such relations in order to serve the common interests of the two countries. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the contacts and consultations which took place last week with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries and their envoys on the most important developments at regional and international arenas, including the telephone calls received by the King from President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir of Sudan and President Idriss Deby of Chad. During their telephone calls, the presidents expressed thanks for and appreciation of the King's efforts which resulted in the convergence between the two countries in the light of talks they held in Riyadh and completed in Makkah. On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince thanked Allah Almighty for what has been achieved to enhance the bonds of friendship and good relations between Sudan and Chad. The Crown Prince prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the two countries security and stability and their people further progress and prosperity. In addition to the meetings and consultations the Crown Prince held, he also briefed the Cabinet on the telephone call the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received from Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. -- More
