Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the meetings, messages and contacts that took place during the last week with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries on regional and international developments. The Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the receptions the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held for the President of the Republic of France and the Secretary General of the United Nations, in addition to the telephone calls the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received from the King of Spain, King of Bahrain, President of United States, President of Egypt, President of Turkey, President of Iran, Emir of Kuwait, Chancellor of Germany, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Prime Minister of Turkey. The Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also briefed the Cabinet on the message he received from the President of Sudan addressed to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques emphasized that these contacts and consultations reflect the deep relations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with various brotherly and friendly countries, as well as the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve global security and stability. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Cabinet discussed the developments at Arab arena, including the situations in Tunisia, Lebanon, the Sudan and the occupied Palestinian territories. In this regard, the Cabinet renewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's stand with the brotherly people of Tunisia to pass this difficult period, wishing the spread of security and stability in Tunisia. --More
