Akhir 1432 / March 07, 2011, SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the consultations and contacts that took place during the past few days with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries on regional and international developments, including the telephone call he received from President Abdullah Gul of Turkey. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Cabinet stressed the importance of the statement issued by the Senior Scholars Commission yesterday, which addressed the events, disturbances and seditions taking place in various parts of the world. The statement also urged all to spare no effort to augment unity and to enhance harmony, warning against any action that contradicts such matter. Moreover, the statement praised Allah Almighty for blessing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the unanimity of word and unity of ranks based on the Holy Quran and the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) under the wise leadership to which legitimate allegiance was pledged. On the other hand, the Cabinet hailed the joint statement issued by the Third Meeting of Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council which was held in Riyadh and co-chaired by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, describing the joint statement as embodying the keenness on improving and enhancing the existing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields. The Cabinet expressed appreciation for the visit paid by Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the kin bonds binding the two countries and their keenness on improving cooperation in all fields in a way that serves the peoples of the two brotherly countries. --More
