The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Salam Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques wished the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud all the best during the King's visits to Canada, the United States of America, the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of France, praying to Allah Almighty to guide and help him in carrying out the state's affairs and in attending to the people's interests in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz briefed the Cabinet on the messages and telephone calls that took place during the last week with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries on ways of enhancing bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments. Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz briefed the Cabinet on the message sent by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Qatar's Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani as well as the telephone calls the King received from Sudan's President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir, Malaysia's Prime Minister Mohamed Najib bin Abdul Razak and Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz also briefed the Cabinet on the message he sent to Egypt's Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Social Affairs and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Yusif bin Ahmad Al-Uthaymin said the Cabinet listened to a number of reports on regional and international developments, praising the adoption of joint work program by EU-GCC Joint Ministerial Council during its meeting in Luxembourg. --More
