based Al-Nadwah, in an editorial entitled 'Israel and international silence' said the international community has been constantly calling for putting pressure on Israel until it accepts peace and opts for rational thinking, adding that the Kingdom has repeatedly made clear that the cause of the state of instability in the region is the fact that the international community has been pampering Israel in a manner that encouraged it to go ahead on the path of its aggressive policy. Israel is not only undermining the security of the Palestinians, but it has also started to threaten Lebanon and Syria, said the daily, adding that the Israeli foreign minister had directly threatened Syria and its President Bashar al-Assad. In the light of these dangerous threats, there was no way for the Kingdom but to urge the international community to take a firm stand vis-à-vis Israel, the daily added. --MORE
