based Al-Nadwah said it is high time for the international community to listen to the call of the Kingdom as regards taking a firm and decisive action vis-à-vis Israeli arrogance. The paper noted that Israel has recently announced the annexation of Al-Ibrahimi Mosque to the list of antiquities at the time when it continues to prevent the Palestinians from performing prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque. "Moreover Israel has disclosed its plans to build 50,000 housing units in the occupied al-Quds," the daily said. "It is a pity that these developments take place following the visit of US Vice-president to Israel and after the visit of the US envoy to the region," said the paper, adding that these developments take place at a time when an Arab initiative is already presented, urging the Palestinians to conduct indirect negotiations with Israel. "These provocative practices prove the fact that Israel is keen on abortion of any attempt to start negotiations; in other words Israel is keen on keeping the region in a state of continuous tension in a manner that undermines the regional and international stability." "It is hoped that the world will positively respond to the call of the Kingdom to treat Israel firmly and decisively instead of treating it like a pampered child," the daily added, reiterating the keenness of the region for a comprehensive and a just peace. --MORE
