The World Assembly for Muslim Youth (WAMY) has distributed some 1000 tents over displaced people in Somalia, benefiting about 1000 refugee families. Three camps in Bay Region, some 250km south of the capital Mogadishu, were chosen to benefit from the donation. In a statement, the General Supervisor for International Bureaus and Relations of WAMY Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Damas Al-Ghamdi said securing a safe haven for those forced by war to leave their homes is the biggest problem. WAMY is among the first organizations to donate tents for refugees in Somalia, he added.
