The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has allocated 5 SR million riyals as an urgent first payment to accommodate the families displaced in the Gaza Strip due to the brutal offensive being carried out by Israeli forces. The Chairman of the (WAMY) Committee for Relief in Gaza, Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed al-Ghamdi said that, "The amount will be allocated for the purchase of tents and blankets". Dr. Al Ghamdi also added that, "According to reports from (WAMY)'s offices in the strip, more than 10.000 homeless families are in dire need of urgent basic requirements". (WAMY) was one of the first institutions which launched a relief campaign to extend assistance to Gaza in response to the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in this respect by allocating three million riyals a first payment for the relief process. The relief campaign includes the shipment of crucial medical supplies and equipment as well as other necessities.
