Hussein, the Director General of The Saudi Press Agency welcomed Minister of Culture and Information Dr Abdulaziz Khoja, and highlighted his continuous support to SPA in various domains including training which aims at improving the performance of the personnel of the agency. "We have been honored by your participation in the ceremony of launching the Information Training Center, which embodies your attention to the process of training in all sectors of the Saudi Press Agency," he said. Al-Hussein underscored the importance of training of the personnel working in the press and technical domains for enabling them to acquire the required skills and knowledge as regards editing of news, photographing and transmission and other relevant activities. SPA, through this center which includes efficient cadres, will be capable of training the personnel of the media work to develop their skills in all departments of the agency, he said, adding that SPA is keen on organizing specialized training courses in these departments to improve the performance of the personnel and to diversify production. Al-Hussein said the information training center will contribute through organization of specialized training courses to the progress of SPA towards the better. Meanwhile, Al-Hussein expressed appreciation for the unlimited support of Dr Khoja to the development of SPA, pointing out that Dr Khoja signed last Wednesday a contract for the implementation of the new building of The Saudi Press Agency and the Information Center at a total cost of more than SR 80 million. --MORE --more
