Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior patronized here last night the award-giving ceremony of King Khalid Prize, in its first edition, at Kingdom Hall in Riyadh"s Four Seasons Hotel with the attendance of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region. The King Khalid Prize aims to celebrate the remarkable achievements of successful Saudi individuals, scientists, intellectuals, businessmen and companies. It encompasses 4 major categories: King Khalid Prize for National Accomplishment which was awarded to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; King Khalid Prize for Social Sciences awarded this year to Ibrahim Al Obeidi from King Saud University (KSU); King Khalid Prize for Social Projects co-shared by Prince Salman Society for Charitable Housing and Kanu Dialysis Center, Dammam, and King Khalid Prize for Responsible Competitiveness will be announced during the upcoming Fourth International Competitiveness Forum.
