Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, patronized here today the award-giving ceremony of King Khalid Prize, in its second edition. Upon his arrival at the venue, Prince Naif was received by Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region and Chairman of King Khalid Prize Commission; and members of the Commission. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. The King Khalid Prize aims to celebrate the remarkable achievements of successful Saudi individuals, scientists, intellectuals, businessmen and companies. It encompasses four major categories: King Khalid Prize for National Accomplishment which was awarded to the late Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz; King Khalid Prize for Social Sciences which was awarded to Dr. Abdullah bin Hussain Al-Khalifah; King Khalid Prize for Social Projects which was awarded to the Help Center for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities; and King Khalid Prize for Responsible Competitiveness which was awarded to Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (MARAFIQ), National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET) and Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital.
