Launching the monetary union, setting up a gulf rapid deployment force and renewing solidarity with Saudi Arabia were among headlines highlighted by Kuwaiti newspapers on Wednesday, one day after Gulf leaders concluded their summit talks. The papers praised Kuwaiti Emir"s affirmation that the summit"s decisions draws a bright future for the Gulf people. Under the title "Cooperation and Success," daily Al-Anbaa said that the Kuwait summit yielded fruitful results and brought Gulf leaders together in a brotherly and cordial atmosphere. It said that the summit not only met the aspirations of the Gulf peoples, but also reaffirmed the six nation"s solidarity in confronting challenges. On its part, Daily Al-Qabas said that the outcome of the summit exceeded all expectations according to a statement by the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdulrahman Al-Attiyah. The paper commended the GCC"s unified stand on fighting terror and its support of Saudi Arabia.
