Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today the outcomes of the Gulf Cooperation Council"s (GCC) 30th Summit that concluded in Kuwait on Tuesday. Al-Jazirah, Al-Watan, Al-Nadwah, Al-Madinah, Al-Bilad, Al-Yaum, and Al-Riyadh newspapers said in their editorials that the GCC leaders stressed their determination in the final communiqué to confront challenges with the spirit of one teamwork. The papers added that the GCC Supreme Council affirmed its political unity and emphasized the GCC leaders" complete solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting attacks on its territories and violations of its borders and considered any infringement on the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a violation of the security, stability and safety of all GCC countries. The papers said that the GCC Summit has not only expressed its political solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but it has transformed words into actions when the GCC Secretary-General Abdulrahman Al-Atiyyah announced the formation of a rapid intervention force. --More
